A Word About Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft

Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft stores can trace their beginnings back to a small cheese shop that was opened by Hilda and Berthold Reich and their friends, Sigmund and Mathilda Rohrbach in 1943. The Cleveland, Ohio shop soon began to carry specialty fabrics in their cheese shop and before long they fazed out cheese and focused on the fabrics they sold. When the business expanded in 1969, its name was changed to Jo-Ann Fabrics. Jo-Ann is now one of the biggest names in the US crafting market, with stores in all 50 states and carries some of the largest selections of crafts, fabrics and crafting supplies in the industry.
